Liza Behrendt is a sophomore at Brandeis University, projecting to major in Politics and minor in Philosophy and Peace, Conflict, and Coexistence studies. On campus she is involved with the Queer Resource Center, Playback Theater, Amnesty International, Students against the Judge Rotenberg Center, the Coalition for Food Service Reform, Company B, and Democracy for America, with which she tirelessly worked toward an Obama victory in her dynamic home state of New Hampshire. She spent last summer teaching middle-school writing, literature, and politics at Breakthrough Collaborative in Boca Raton, and is absolutely thrilled to spend this summer interning for human rights in Israel and Palestine.
