Zev Rowlett is studying Sociology, Education Policy, and Elementary Education. Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Zev went to school, and has been doing so ever since. At the YMCA, the Lemberg Children’s Center, the Waltham Family School, and in Rural Central A merica, Zev has gotten to experience education from a teacher’s perspective. This summer he will apply that knowledge, studying how English Language Learners form American identities in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He will also be empowering Mexican children with an education in one of New Mexico’s many border colonias communities.
